Dystopian Future

This version is a dystopian interpretation of where the BWCA is heading with the current climate crisis. There will be warmer water, mining that produces toxic waste and smog, and pollution on the shores and filling up the lakes.

Utopian Future

This interpretation of the BWCA includes the recreation that would thrive under the conservation of the area. It would be protected from mining and ensure a healthy environment, biodiversity, and the local economy. The boreal forest lands would be preserved and the natural beauty would be maintained for future generations.
